Introduction

The Headland Hotel

Allow your pampered pooch to experience four-star dog friendly luxury by the beach, either in the Headland Hotel itself, or in one of the luxurious self-catering cottages.

Traditional elegance and a little old school grandeur make for an exceptional coastal escape with lashings of comfort; perched high on the cliff tops, the imposing red brick structure gives way to homely warmth, friendliest service and something of a timeless quality.

Dogs are welcomed with open arms, fussed over by staff and spoilt with a welcome pack that includes a bowl, blanket, food and mouth-watering treats.

Where to walk

The Headland Hotel is situated on a peninsula, overlooking Fistral beach, one of several beaches along the north coast that accept dogs all year round. Step outside the hotel and you’re straight on the path to the sandy stretch.

With Bodmin Moor in easy reach of just over an hour’s drive, The Headland makes for an ideal base to explore the north Cornish coast and surrounding area. A day of beach walks, swimming and stomping along the coastal path is guaranteed to prepare your pooch for a much-needed rest, while you enjoy the far-reaching vistas over seasonal fare.

Friendliest staff will be more than happy to look after your dog at reception, whilst you dine.

Dine with your dog

Unfortunately, dogs are not welcomed in either of the hotel’s restaurants, but room service is offered around the clock and if arranged prior to your meal, staff will happily dog-sit for the duration.

There are plenty of dog friendly eateries in the area, including the Stable for pizza and pies and Rick Stein’s fish and chip restaurant, both overlooking the beach, as well as Lewinnick Lodge, bar and restaurant, positioned on the cliff edge, with staggering views of the Atlantic ocean.
