Falmouth’s oldest hotel – guests can sink into an inspiring setting with a characterful history and contemporary comfort; The Greenbank provides lashings of style right at the water’s edge, providing a dog-friendly coastal retreat with maritime heritage at the heart.
There are nine dog-friendly rooms in total, five of which have harbour views. A fleece blanket, water and food bowl with gourmet treats from Bob and Lush are left in the room and if you’d like to take breakfast with your dog, this is welcome in a small separate lounge area.
Your four-legged friend will be spoilt for choice, with a host of beaches that remain dog friendly all year round, including Sunny Cove, Helford Passage, Durgan Beach, Perranporth and Holywell Bay, as well as those that are seasonal; Gyllyngvase Beach and Swanpool Beach.
There is also a small tidal beach on the hotel’s doorstep, ideal for dog walking, and a range of water sports including paddle boarding and kayaking from the hotel’s pontoons.
Dining in The Water’s Edge restaurant is a hearty affair with all produce sourced from the Southwest; plates highlight the very best of Cornish fare creating ‘rustic fine dining’ that is elegant with a regional edge.
Dogs are welcome in The Working Boat pub underneath the hotel, where dog treats aplenty are available on the bar. Alternatively there is the opportunity to dine with your dog in a small lounge area.
Rooms from £139 per night
Dogs are charged at £12.50 per night
