Una – St Ives

Introduction

Holiday with your four-legged friend at this unique eco resort, situated in a rural environment at the edge of Carbis Bay and nearby St Ives. Kick back and relax in peaceful setting, featuring a series of eco-lodges, designed around an Atrium with a spa and restaurant, surrounded by greenery and far-reaching views.

Named after the first boat to win the Cornish Gig Rowing Championships, Una consists of 29 light-filled eco-lodges – many of which are dog friendly – featuring solar panels, sedum roofs, cedar cladding, lamb’s wool insulation and natural log burners. Landscaping across the site uses natural materials; sustainable cedar and stone, with the grounds incorporating traditional Cornish stonewalls and planting.

Una offers a welcoming retreat within a contemporary space, the ideal base to relax and explore the Cornish coastline with your mutt in tow.

Where to walk

Porthkidney Beach, with its expansive white sands, welcomes dogs all year round, and is located two-minutes drive away. From St Uny’s Church at Lelant, take the winding Coastal Path down through the dunes, with views across to St Ives and Hayle.

Dine with your dog

Dine with your canine pal at your side in the Una Kitchen, home to the first Gozney Wood burning oven in Cornwall, headed up by Head Chef, Glenn Gatland; the innovative oven allowing for the creation of fresh contemporary dishes.

Expect informal, simply cooked Mediterranean-inspired wood-fired food, using local ingredients from land and sea, freshly prepared from an open-kitchen.

Dog friendly Una Kitchen has a large outdoor decked-area for alfresco dining, with a pretty herb garden and fire pit. Enjoy the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails and Sunday lunch, along with Tapas and Gin-tasting evenings.

Doggie room rate

Cabins from £130 per night

There is a £50 charge per dog for the duration of your stay.

What Partridge says

Una has to be one of my favourite holidays to date. The lodges are spacious, with their own private decked areas and gardens to play in.

I loved exploring the grounds, as well as dining with my humans and running free on the pawsome local

beaches, of which Porthkidney rates as a personal fave. High paws to this eco retreat, that caters for us four legs as well as you humans.
