Fowey Hall Hotel

Introduction

Fowey Harbour Hotel

Built over a century ago as a family home, by Sir Charles Hanson, Fowey Hall Hotel, now a listed building, offers all the grandeur of a traditional coastal manor; experience contemporary, dog-friendly luxury in a relaxed setting, with top-notch facilities for you and your mutt to enjoy.

The imposing structure retains the unique character of the Victorian seaside retreat, boasting beautiful vaulted ceilings, wood paneled public rooms, French furniture and elaborate fireplaces in the lounges, all of which are dog friendly.

Fowey Hall Hotel allows you to sink into a little opulence, albeit with a relaxed atmosphere; think lashings of comfort and plenty of cosy corners to ensconce yourself, with your furry friend.

Dogs are welcome to enjoy the stunning grounds with some of the thirty dog-friendly bedrooms, including direct access onto the gardens. Your pooch will be made to feel welcome with a tennis ball, doggie treats and blanket left in the room, along with the essentials including a dog bowl, and poo bags.

Where to walk

Situated on the south coast of Cornwall, the nearest seasonal beach is Readymoney Cove, just a 15-minute stroll away (dog friendly between Easter day and 1st October). Both Polridmouth Cove and Menabilly Beach are dog friendly year-round and if you’re feeling like a good stretch of the legs, you you can walk from the hotel within about 45 minutes. Both beaches are picturesque, with lots of little footpaths to explore. Alternatively, drive to the nearby car park at the top of Fowey, where you can park up and explore the beaches that sit just 15-minutes walk away.

Dine with your dog

Dogs are welcome to join you for both evening meals and breakfast in the Morning Room Restaurant, where a fleece blanket and a water bowl will be set out next to your table.

For those who’d prefer to eat out, The Galleon in Fowey has a terrace situated right by the river, offering a lovely spot to sit and watch the boats on the estuary.

What Partridge says

Fowey Hall Hotel is as much of a treat for us four-legs as it is our human companions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and felt pampered from the minute I landed my paws through the door, relishing in the beautiful grounds, perfect to play with my new tennis ball in, the yummiest treats in the room, as well as the chance to accompany my humans in the dog-friendly restaurant, for some of the best sniffs I’ve experienced! Fellow canine companions, master your begging-tactics in a bid for your owners to visit!
