The Bottle – Newquay

Introduction

The Bottle Newquay is inspired by the Cave à manger bars and bistros in France. This gorgeous little restaurant and wine bar is located at the heart of the bustling seaside town of Newquay, just a stone’s throw from the town centre. Perfect for an intimate date night or a social gathering with friends, your beloved pooch is welcome to join you!

Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with low lighting and a tropical vibe, where service is friendly and attentive but not at all intrusive. Your four-legged friend will be happy to kick at your heels and may even be treated to a small piece of charcuterie.

The Bottle is run by owners Rob and Toyah, who are passionate about showing their customers how wine and food interact, offering a little bit of their knowledge and a new wine to add to their list of beverages!

Dine with your dog

The Bottle is very dog friendly with the owners having two four-legged friends of their own. Water bowls are available and if lucky, they could also be treated to a few delicious charcuterie leftovers.

On the menu

Tuck into the simplest, yet most flavoursome small sharing plates of classic European staples from Papaya and Prosciutto and Citrus White Beans to Boozy Tomatoes, Orange dusted burrata and a simple rocket salad. Also on the menu are larger plates, a selection of classic Tartines and cheese and charcuterie boards as well as light nibbles for the table – smoked roasted almonds, Nocerella olives and house-made sage salted butter and sourdough.

The wine list as you’d expect – is extensive, and ranges from heavy reds, light and fresh sauvignon blancs to summer chardonnays and house rosè. If you’re after something a little bit different, there is also a great selection of biodynamic and orange wines to choose from.

Where to walk

Being in Newquay, coastal walks are a must – explore the local beaches including the popular surfing spots, Fistral beach and Watergate Bay, two of several along the north coast that accept dogs all year round. Further afield, but still on the north Cornish coast, we particularly love Mawgan Porth, Porthkidney Beach, Mother Ivey’s Bay and Prussia Cove beach, also welcoming dogs all year round.

A day of beach walks, swimming and stomping along the coastal path is guaranteed to prepare your pooch for a much-needed rest, while you enjoy working your way through the small plates and wine pairings.

What Partridge says

The Bottle offers a great resting space for us four legs, in a relaxed and informal setting. I was happy to chill with my humans and my fresh water bowl and was
particularly excited to receive my own plate of charcuterie nibbles, delivered from our friendly host! The pawfect treat!
