Introduction

Pizza Jockeys – Newquay

Head to the popular Fore Street Café, where you will find Pizza Jockeys, a seasonal pop up, Wednesday to Saturday. With an ethos surrounding quality, seasonal produce, keeping everything as locally sourced as possible, the innovative kitchen team take their time to create ingredients and some of the most delicious dough we’ve ever tasted.

Pizza Jockeys is 100% dog friendly; your four-legged friend will be welcomed with open arms, with treats and a water bowl, as well as a blanket to snuggle up on. An eco-conscious spot, everything used is recyclable, with vegan ink and printing materials. Sink into homely comfort with your canine pal at your side, and enjoy chilled vibes with eclectic music, a log burning stove, and cosy seating.

There are a couple of additional tables outside, perfect for alfresco dining on warmer days, with blankets provided throughout the cooler months.

Dine with your dog

Dogs are welcome upstairs and downstairs with water bowls provided and treats of course!

On the menu

Expect scrape-the-plate-clean tasty pizzas and garlic breads with unique toppings, using the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. From the popular vegetarian Hey Zhoug, with grilled aubergine, pine nuts, tahini and pomegranate molasses to the Pineapple Express – with smoked ham hock and barbecued pineapple – and the Mrs. Potatohead with Pancetta, roasted potatoes and wild garlic – there’s a topping for all taste buds.

Don’t deny yourself Pizza Jockeys Cheesy Marmite Bread – an insane fusion of mozzarella, marmite, confit garlic, honey and rosemary oil, paired with the honey ranch dip – dill, garlic, honey and soured cream – the perfect combo that will leave you wanting more!

Where to walk

In terms of walking spots, it doesn’t get much better – there are seven great beaches in Newquay, all of which are worth a visit, with the expansive sands of Fistral and Crantock beach being dog friendly all year round. Your four-legged friend will also love exploring the Pentire Headland, and you can pick up the South West Coast Path to Watergate Bay from the town centre. Just across from the Gannal Estuary, there’s a scenic walk from Crantock to Holywell and Polly Joke.

Why not grab some takeout pizza to take with you, and enjoy along with the views!

What Partridge says

What incredible sniffs, if only I was allowed some pizza!

Nevertheless it was a warm and comfortable, with fellow dog friends and treats aplenty. We visited after the best beach walk, leading all the way around the headland – Pizza Jockeys is a great spot to rest tired paws and dream of mozzarella and pepperoni.
